DAY 1 THURSDAY HEATHROW-DURBAN
Fly from Heathrow overnight via Johannesburg to Durban.
DAY 2 FRIDAY DURBAN
Arrive in Durban where you will be met and transferred
to your hotel overlooking lush gardens and the Indian
Ocean on Durban's North Beach. Overnight: Southern
Sun Elangeni, or similar.
DAY 3 SATURDAY DURBAN
A day at leisure to relax, or you could take one of the
many optional excursions available. Overnight: Southern

DAY 4 SUNDAY DURBAN-ZULU KINGDOM
Head to the magical heart of the Zulu Kingdom. Your first
stop is an authentic cultural village where dancers
perform an ancient dance to the beat of African drums.
Sample traditionally brewed Zulu beer and watch women
craft clay pots and intricate Zulu beadwork. Overnight:

DAY 5 MONDAY ZULU KINGDOM-SWAZILAND
The day begins with a cruise on Lake St Lucia, a World
Heritage Site and home to hippos, crocodiles and several
hundred bird species. We leave the wilderness and head
for the Kingdom of Swaziland, via northern Zululand, a
landscape dotted with traditional Zulu homesteads.

DAY 6 TUESDAY SWAZILAND-KRUGER
Visit the Ngwenya Glass Factory, to watch craftsmen
fashion delightful animals from molten glass, then
continue to Kruger National Park. Enter through the
southernmost gate and head north through the
reserve to your hotel. Overnight: Kruger Rest Camp, or

DAY 7 WEDNESDAY KRUGER
Set off before breakfast in open safari vehicles on a full-day
game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos
and leopards, and all manner of wondrous wildlife, birds
and plant species. Savour the magic of this enormous
wilderness. Overnight: Kruger Rest Camp, or similar. (b)
DAY 8 THURSDAY KRUGER-PANORAMA ROUTE
Today's highlights include Pilgrim's Rest, the old mining
village where gold was first discovered, the glorious God's
Window, a boundless view of forested mountains and
fertile plains, and a visit to the spectacular Blyde River
Canyon, one of the natural wonders of Africa. Overnight:

DAY 9 FRIDAY PANORAMA ROUTE-JOHANNESBURG
Today you head to Pretoria, South Africa's capital city.
After lunch, enjoy a tour tracing South Africa's
extraordinary history with visits to the Kruger Museum
and the Voortrekker Monument. Arrive in Johannesburg
International Airport in the late afternoon in time for your
flight to Heathrow. (b)
